NYSEG Awards $400,000 Grant to Moog for New Corporate Headquarters
NYSEG/RG&E Investing Nearly $40 Million in Growing Businesses Through 2013

Rochester, NY – NYSEG, a subsidiary of Iberdrola USA, recently awarded a $400,000 economic development grant to Moog Inc. for utility infrastructure investments that are part of the company’s new 69,000-square-foot corporate headquarters in the Town of Elma. Moog is a worldwide designer, manufacturer and integrator of precision motion control products and systems. The new building houses 200 employees previously spread across Moog’s Elma campus and has made available a significant amount of space for current and future operational needs.

"NYSEG is pleased to assist Moog’s continued growth and the benefits it brings to our communities,” said Mark S. Lynch, president of NYSEG and RG&E. “This project is a prime example of why we have economic development grant programs – the programs are excellent catalysts for capital investment that protects and creates jobs in upstate New York.”

“We have 11,000 employees in 26 locations around the world but we have always been headquartered in Western New York,” said John Scannell, CEO of Moog.  “The funding that we received from NYSEG’s Economic Development Team helped us bring together all of our corporate functions in this new building and continue our commitment to Western New York.”

The NYSEG grant is part of approximately $40 million in planned NYSEG and RG&E economic development investments from September 2010 through December 2013.
